Let’s face it—most of us of a certain age have a soft spot for the 1970s television series, Little House on the Prairie while many more grew up reading the classic American books of the same name by Laura Ingalls Wilder.
So it should come as no surprise that continuing in the long tradition of musical theater drawing its inspiration from the four corners of the creative universe, that Little House on the Prairie, The Musical makes its debut at the Fabulous Fox Nov. 24-29.

Citilites Theatre is back after a hiatus of several years, and its first production mostly succeeds. Originally produced off- and on-Broadway in 1994, Terrence McNally’s Love! Valour! Compassion! Was generally well-received in its day and even won the Tony Award for Best Play. But that was then and this is now.

In the first installment of this series on putting together a cabaret show, Chuck Lavazzi and I talked about the history of the form and he gave me an overview of the artistic goals and challenges of mounting such a performance. He is in the process of putting together his "Just a Song at Twilight" to be presented at the Kranzberg Center for the Arts Mar. 26 and 27. He will focus on music from the era of American Vaudeville, roughly end of the nineteenth and early twentieth centuries.
VITAL VOICE GETS INTIMATE WITH MICHAEL KEARNS

Actor, Director, Writer and Activist, Michael Kearns will return to his hometown of St. Louis to introduce his latest book and revive his ground-breaking, one-man-show, intimacies as a precursor to World AIDS Day, Nov. 20.
The newly reworked production will be performed at 8p.m. at Metropolitan Community Church of Greater Saint Louis (1919 S. Broadway) and is produced by That Uppity Theatre Company, Joan Lipkin, Artistic Director.
