Oklahoma Politician Distributes Anti-Gay Comic Book for Reelection Campaign

ABC News is reporting that Brent Rinehart, an Oklahoma County Commissioner up for reelection, is distributing a 16-page comic book depicting homophobic content as part of his campaign strategy.

In addition to portraying images of Satan supporting homosexuality, the comic book also attacks the Oklahoma Attorney General, Drew Edmondson, who filed felony campaign charges against Rinehart last year, and Jim Roth, an openly gay member of the corporation commission in Oklahoma City.

Although the comic book has generated controversy in Oklahoma, Rinehart has said he is proud of it, according to the article.

Earlier this year, another politician from Oklahoma, Rep. Sally Kern, made national headlines after giving an address in which she called GLBT people the biggest threat to the U.S.
