American Family Association Calls for Boycott of McDonald’s

The Advocate is reporting that the American Family Association has called for a boycott of McDonald’s because of its affiliation with the National Gay and Lesbian Chamber of Commerce.
“We’re saying that there are people who support AFA who don’t appreciate their dollars from the hamburgers they bought being put into an organization that’s going to fight against the values they believe in,” Tim Wildmon, president of the organization, is quoted in a Washington Post article cited by the Advocate.
The AFA has also previously targeted the Walt Disney Company for its “embrace of the homosexual lifestyle.”
Bill Whitman, McDonald’s USA spokesman, said the company will continue to support a society free of discrimination and harassment.
I suggest that all gays and lebians write McDonalds and thank them for surporting us. If they know we are out there watching then they know we have their surport. Also, go to McDonalds and give them our money. Let them know that we are here and surport them too.
Whether you eat at McDonalds or not. You should email them for supporting our community. Plus it wouldn't hurt to drink an extra milkshake or two.
