Remembering pets loved and lost

The Humane Society of Missouri will hold a candle lighting ceremony in honor of deceased pets, in which participants are invited to bring special memories. The ceremony, sponsored by Bethesda Hospice Care and the Education Department at the Humane Society of Missouri, will be held from 6-7 p.m. Monday, Oct. 6 at the Carol Gates Throop Memorial Park, across the street from the Humane Society of Missouri on 1201 Macklind Ave. An RSVP is required.
