Is green fashion an oxymoron?

Terry Winkelmann's debut "Going Green" column tackles the question of whether an industry like fashion—where styles and trends go out of favor long before the garments themselves have worn out—can be truly green. What do you think? Sound off with your opinions here.
I have a friend in New Orleans who hosts an annual fashion show called "Worn Again"--using all donated and recycled fabrics. Maybe you could start something similar in St. Louis and buy your clothes at the annual shows :).
